Bringing you a night of Mind Blowing Northern Soul
Across the Board

Saturday 14th November

A great night Musically Charlie "Fingers" Watson travelled down from Edinburgh in horrid storms. To create a storm on the decks he sure was cooking he played a cracking set.
Thank You Mr Watson when you coming back.
Thank you to all who attended.

Saturday 19th December

A great night was had by all who braved the most horrendous weather conditions to enjoy a night of Motown and Northern Soul.
Dont think we have had as much snow in years as we had that night.
Many thanks to Chalky who travelled from the West Midlands to entertain us musically.
Thank you to everyone who attended.

Saturday 28th January

Yet again the numbers attending are on the increase with People traveling from Blackpool, Wigan, Selby, Leeds and many more areas around the country, It was so good to meet everyone. Many called in on the way to the Radcliffe allnighter for a warm up. Both Steve and Ronnie played wonderful sets and look forward to seeing them both again in the future.
Massive Thanks to everyone who attended hope to see you again soon.

Saturday 27th February

Thank you to everyone who came to the Polish Club. Yet again many new faces, who are gonna come back. Sadly John Orritt did not make it due to his car breaking down
in Chorley on the way to the club,  poor guy had to wait till almost midnite to get a tow home. But he will be on at a future date.
Andy Garside did us proud with a great set as did Graham and Shed played a good set also.
So once again thank you everyone for traveling to see us hope that you anjoyed the nite as much as I did.

Saturday 20th March

Firstly may I say GET WELL soon to Les Wright from Sockport who suffered what appears to be a serious heart attack in the club last night, to Christine his wife and their family and friends we are thinking of you all, at this time.
I need to give a massive Thank you to Linda Hosking for everything she did for Les whilst we where waiting for the ambulance to arrive, Thank you once again Linda.
Just to update everyone, Les Wright is now home from the hospital and doing well, he has made a wonderful recovery thanks to the staff of the
Royal Oldham Hospital ,the ambulance crews and our own Linda Hosking.
He is looking forward to being back on the scene in the none too distant future.

We had a change of DJ line due to Anton Ludwig having been taken into hospital very ill. Luckily Charles Watson and PJ agreed to step in at the last minite, Sadly due to the unforeseen incident they did not DJ cheers lads, I owe you both big style. Gary Tee and Wayne played great sets of tuneage abetted yours truelly once I had calmed down a little.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Polish Club yet again many more new faces in attendance with many travelling a long distance to visit us and they promised to come and make a return visit in April. Numbers where ever so slightly down but there was lots going on with it also being the Pretatyn weekender. everyone who came enjoyed the across the board music.
We also had Knobby the Traveling Northern Soul Garden Gnome visit us. Some photos will be in our photo album. Also on facebook no doubt.
Hope to catch some of you real soon.

Saturday 24th April

A brilliant night yet again more than 120 people coming throu the doors the place was well rocking. Massive thanks to everyone who came also thanks to all the Dj's who played great sets, and also played to the floor.
Anton traveled from Bromley in Kent to man the decks. He came to me and said he was shocked a northern venue that actually still had hot water and a working hand
drier in the loos all night lol.

The dj's played sets covering Northern soul right across the board which is what Academic soul club is all about.
It seems that word is now spreading that Academic Soul @ The Polish Club is the place to go hope to see you all again soon.
